Our business dictates that part of our staff travels and comes into close contact with a large number of places and people. To protect our movers and helpers during the alarming times of global pandemic, the following strategies have been adopted and applied:
- Educate staff to recognize the symptoms of COVID-19 and provide instructions on what to do if they develop symptoms within 14 days after their last possible exposure to the virus.Employees who have symptoms of acute respiratory illness are recommended to stay home and not come to work until they are free of fever (37.8° C or greater using a thermometer), signs of a fever, and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medicines (e.g. cough suppressants).
- Safe Work Practices: routine environmental cleaning, respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene by all employees.Provide resources and a work environment that promotes personal hygiene like tissues, alcohol-based hand rubs containing at least 60 percent alcohol, disinfectants, and disposable towels for. Require regular hand washing or using of alcohol-based hand rubs. Encourage respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes.
- Perform routine environmental cleaning of the frequently used spaces ie truck cabin, moving equipment with provided alcohol-based sanitizes and tissues.
